A lorry driving along the busy Stropshire road has caused havoc by overturning and spilling commercial washing machines across the highway.
The road was closed all evening, the lorry driver was unhurt but there was a spilage of potentially dangerous diesel across the roads.
Sub-officer Mike Beach, from Whitchurch fire station, said some of the washing machines had fallen out of the lorry’s trailer, and would have been badly damaged in the crash.
