Although the credit crunch is having a major impact on young families, people are still reluctant to go on there family holidays as they do not want to upset the children.
Spokesperson for ABTA, Sean Tipton, has stated that foreign holidays in particular have become an important part of family life and is something that the children enjoy.
He said: “Can you imagine if you had to explain to your young children that they weren’t going away on holiday this year? You really have to be in extreme financial difficulties to contemplate that. That’s how important holidays have become.”
But young families should still remember to take out the correct travel insurance policies as it may cost you a small fortune if anything happens whilst on holiday.
